I bought this for my sons as I thought it would make access to their ties easier if the bars weren't folded vertically. That's true, but my sons prefer to keep everything upright rather than putting it in opposite diagonal positions so it takes up less space in their closets. I didn't think it would take more space. The diagonal option was my first choice for these tie hangers, but my sons didn't seem to care. If I had to choose again I would choose a tie clip that doesn't have adjustable positions because when you change the position it looks like it might break because it's a bit difficult to adjust and it kinda snaps. different positions.
