This 3 inch spindle is a nice addition to what comes with the spindle sander and makes it much easier and faster to sand large holes and concave surfaces. Do yourself a favor and order aluminum oxide cases at the same time, those garnet cases don't last long, especially if you're sanding plywood or hardwood.
