I purchased this product while looking for something to help with gingivitis. I have toothpaste, a soft bristle brush, a professional dental cleaning, I floss, brush my teeth, use mouthwash, any products designed to stop bleeding gums, etc. Basically I went to Revain looking for something that stopped bleeding gums helps. and i came across it. I was, and still am, a little skeptical about the claim that red light is good for gums. But overall I love using this thing! I've been using it for a few weeks now so the results are inconclusive, but for a moment it seemed like the gums had stopped bleeding! I also used the whitening feature when using the teeth whitening gel and I think it got rid of some of the yellow surface stains I was having. Pros: Good price. decent quality. Small, cute and compact. shines through the cheeks. Reusable so much cheaper than the disposable whitening products I've bought before. Hasn't caused my teeth sensitivity yet, which is the case with most whitening methods. Cons: The button is VERY sensitive, so I always press it first. Put it in your mouth, especially since the instructions recommend not looking directly at the light, wear sunglasses, and put it in your mouth before turning it on. (If a Starlite is reading this please fix it, that's my only suggestion) A bit difficult to clean without getting the battery compartment wet. It has worked so far because the instructions say to avoid it, but it might have been easier if you could remove the tooth tray, clean it, and then put it back in. When charging, it lights up all the time. A bit annoying, I covered it up when I didn't want to glow (Hey, but that might also be a plus for some people: 2-in-1 teeth whitener and potential night light!) Also, I couldn't find any approval from the ADA about red light for gum disease or this product, but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Overall this is a good product for the price. There are a few things that I think need fixing, but nothing impossible. I don't know how long this will take and if I'll change my mind in a few months. But after a few weeks, I liked it so much that instead of preparing for the finale, I left Revain a long review.
