Had a previous Linksys router. It was the Nighthawk X6s AC4000 trunk. Worked fine on my LAN but no internet connection detected. No luck solving it. Bought this Linksys and the same thing happened. Eventually the solution was to move the cable modem closer to the router and the problem was resolved. I've done a lot of troubleshooting including lots of different cables. I was able to connect my old Cisco router and it worked every time the two didn't connect to the ISP (charter). Went from a 25ft barrel to a 1ft cord and it works perfectly. I suspect it was the same problem with the first router. Great router when I finally got it working. Don't blame the router. Possibly a cable modem. I do not know. Regardless, it works.
