General: Excellent zoom vs unclear compared to Samsung (in the same price range). I bought this camera a year ago (March 2015) and wanted to test it before leaving a review. So. So: A few months after I bought the camera (December 2015), the lens cap started to open and close poorly. I sent the camera back (shipping paid) and a few days later received an email saying I would be charged about $100 for the repair. I called support and told the rep it was under warranty and the repair should be free. They agreed and sent me a new/refurbished/opened camera (same model). Shortly thereafter (3 months - March 2016) the camera had the same problem I had with my first camera! Also, the camera got very hot and the SD card inside was too hot to be used (then the message "memory card problem" appeared on the screen). So. I sent my camera back to Canon again (this time they sent me a prepaid shipping label). Again a few days later I received an email asking about $100 for repairs. So I called Canon again and had to explain my story, after which they said they would escalate my issue to the next department. We'll just have to wait and see.
