I have since returned the laptop itself as the HP Envy was a huge disappointment so I can't say it wouldn't have performed more efficiently on a different model. The laptop was basically useless in sunlight and not much better with indoor lighting, so I bought it hoping to solve this problem. The hardest part was getting the HP screen into a position that would comfortably fit the screen protector; The screen angle didn't go beyond 90 degrees, so positioning the laptop to lay flat was quite inconvenient. The protection itself was thicker than I expected, but getting air bubbles out was no more difficult than on my iPad. I wiped the screen with alcohol wipes and immediately applied a screen protector to keep dirt/dust/smudges off the screen. The screen protector helped with some types of glare, but the laptop was still unusable in direct sunlight. This affected the touchscreen capabilities a bit, but nothing that a settings recalibration could fix. It definitely reduced fingerprints! I would probably buy it again for a different product and see if the results are better; The quality was there, the price was what I expected and I'm sure it would have worked better on a different model.
