location: kitchen granite countertop, in a gap beside a set of drawers, with simple access to the outlets under the sink.cutting the hole in the granite was fairly simple [they charged me $35] and it was installed by the plumber who hooked up the sink, with no explicit charge [which may have been that he was intrigued by the concept]have used it several times, especially when counters needed to be cleared for painting and later for backsplash installation. will do it again on the counter of my next kitchen in the afterlife.
