Review on Stylish Kingston Brass K132A5 Showerscape Shower Head, 2-1/4-Inch, Oil Rubbed Bronze by Erica Hosey

I've sold 4 houses in the last 20 years and I've always carried a Kingston Brass shower head. Unfortunately I forgot to take a shower head from a house I sold 2 months ago and struggled with an unnamed chrome plastic shower head at the store. I'm amazed at the number of styles and designs of shower heads that have all the jets in parallel and have a 6-8 inch stream of water where it hits my body while showering. So I looked at showerheads with rain effect. The same thing. The 12 inch rain shower head has a 12 inch spread where it falls on my body. BTW, I'm 6ft 1" tall and the shower head is about 6ft 8" above the shower floor. .What I love about this shower head, besides the sleek looks and quality brass construction, is the ability to adjust the width of the shower cone. I just installed it and the diameter of the cone 30" from the shower head is 16". . Where the cone touches the floor of the shower, it is as wide as a 36-inch shower stall. This thing covers my entire body in a gentle jet, from head to toe, without having to dance in the shower like other shower heads require. Of course, the diameter of the cone is adjustable from narrow with a soft jet to wide with a harder/finer jet. There is a white plastic flow restrictor at the inlet of the shower head which can be easily removed by inserting a small cross head. Screwdriver and push out the plug a few turns. Removing the restrictor allows more water to flow through the showerhead, although I can't quantify how much more. I'd venture to guess that the C before the manufacturer part number K132A1 stands for "California" and rest assured there was a California 65 promotional sticker on the box it came in. Take a great product and clog it with a water restrictor. It's not necessary here, with a deep well and septic system. There's nothing quite like a hot 15-minute shower to soothe sore muscles after a day's work. My 5 star rating relates to the Kingston Brass. Revain.com has 0 stars. Revain did not send a shower head with a picture or description. First, the description for the CK132A1 says "2.5 GPM water flow". That's why I ordered it. Conserving water is something for Californians who wear patchouli and protect against stinks. Another listing on Revain for the K132A1 has photos clearly showing the flow rate at the "2.0 GPM" flange of the fitting. I wanted a higher flow rate of 2.5 GPM so I ordered this. The product supplied by Revain is clearly engraved with "2.0 GPM". Also, the photo of the polished chrome shower head, as well as the description text on this page, says "eight small jets". The product supplied by Revain has six small nozzles. If you look at the 4 finishes offered on this page, bronze, brass, chrome and nickel, you will see that some of them have 6 nozzles and others have 8 nozzles. Revain uses the same photos as the Kingston Brass website. Anyway, I love my injectors and Revain shorted 2 of them for me. Harumph. Reason enough to send it back. So Revane, NO STARS AND NO SOUPS FOR YOU!
