I chose this drawer set because it has the least amount of space wasted between the back of the unit and the back of the drawer. I have too much memory to waste space. I also have IKEA's famous Alex drawers and didn't want those HEAVY beasts around my house anymore, so the mixed materials in this drawer set make it so much easier and better. My drawers are full of stationery: sketchbooks, colored paper, cards, scrapbooks, stationery. Many of these items don't fit in the typical 8.5" x 11" size for storing most papers, so these deeper, wider drawers come in handy. I love that I can move this device around my apartment's thick, shaggy carpet and even put it under my desk. My husband assembled this and had no problems but complained that the drawer bottoms are flimsy. Fully loaded with thick paper I had no issues with the drawers and they still open and close very easily. I definitely recommend this product.
