I saw this hat and decided I need a cowboy hat since I'm moving to Texas in a few months. This is a very cute hat, and a good value.It was shipped with a plastic cover to protect the shape of the top, which is nice. I also like that the brim of this hat is already pre-shaped with a nice shape, so you don't have to worry about shaping the hat before you wear it. It is not flimsy and holds its shape well.The hat is made out of cotton and polyester, and the texture feels very felt-like. If you have small pets that shed fur it may be better to get a lighter color hat as little hairs stick to this hat and stand out more on a darker colored hat. I have a dog, and I do see a few hairs sticking to it, but I don't regret getting the darker coffee color as I love that color. It's nothing a lint roller can't solve.I have a medium sized head and the hat is slightly loose on me. There is a tie on the inside that you can use to tighten it, but I haven't quite mastered it. This hat does not have a stampede strap, so if the hat is slightly loose on you then you will want to be sure to figure out how to tighten it so the wind doesn't take the hat from you. If I were to be going horseback riding I would want to have one with a stampede strap to keep from losing it.Overall this hat is very cute and I'm pleased with it. It's fun and looks nice as an accessory.
