Very durable and my cats love it!

This is probably the strongest and toughest cardboard honeycomb scratching post I have ever seen or used. Because the base and legs are solid pine and held together with screws, they're not going anywhere once assembled. It took a little longer to assemble than most other cardboard cat scratchers, but again that's because they're made out of a tough material. Wooden base and legs - and actually it only took about 10 minutes and very easy. I appreciate that you can assemble it in several different orientations, although I've really only seen two practical options for most cats and households - a gentle upward angle or a flatter couch style. We wanted to try a more upright variant, but found that it had to go close to a wall or there was a risk of it tipping over. We have four cats and since they all love it they might try using it on both sides at the same time. From the moment it was assembled and hung - after sprinkling it with the included catnip, of course - our cats have used it consistently. all day, every day. We've only had it a few weeks and I can already say I'm having to take the legs off and reorient as the top has started to wear. (Of course I'll have to look for replacement cardboard in a few months too. I'm totally fine with that because I'd rather they scratch that than the furniture.) Overall it's really well made and our cards love it - IMO a complete victory by the standards. The only thing I would ask for, if given the chance, is additional color options - varnished wood - but I'll probably do it myself if I swap out the cardboard piece. (One thing I would recommend if you're buying this...Grab a bottle of cat sleep spray. Free cat sleep like what's included is good, but more of it falls through cardboard than sticks to it. I found that a little spray of the liquid version every day or two will keep cats coming back and you won't have to vacuum the catnip every day.)
