The buckle was on the back so I had to fix it. I would send them back but I need them until the new pair comes back. Not my best purchase on Amazon. UPDATE: After I left the first review, the seller contacted me to refund me the full cost of the shoes and didn't ask me to return the shoes (which wouldn't matter, they are still unusable and broken on arrival ). They are super cute shoes and fit as expected. I just want them to be functional for my daughter. Lesson learned that not everything you need/want should be bought at a low price, you get what you pay for If you want a paperweight that looks like non functional shoes these are for you too. If you want to wear them, unfortunately they are not for you as they do not work.
