I have insomnia and white noise generators are part of my solution. Bought this for our recent trip to the UK and was pleased with the size and quality of the unit and range of sound options. Battery life seems great too - it lasted 14 8 hour nights and still runs on the original batteries. My only minor issue was the volume control, which has a gap between off and the lowest volume setting. This resulted in louder noise than needed for some super quiet nights when the only place for the thing was about ten inches from my ears at the head of the bed, but otherwise I like it.
