This candle is much better than the Luminara candle. It looks great and doesn't smell. The smell of the Luminara candle is unbearable and immediately triggers an asthma attack. I had to put it outside which cracked the wax. We returned Luminara and bought this candle online. It looks very believable despite not having a wax finish. And it will never break if we leave it on the porch overnight. The movement of the flame is very realistic and I really like that it is odorless. The only drawback is that the flame occasionally emits a very quiet ringing sound when it flickers. It's only noticeable when the room is completely still and I'm sitting very close to the candle. Luminara could do that too. I never got a chance to turn it on. A really great feature of this candle is the timer. In timer mode, the candle burns for 5 hours, turns off after 19 hours, and then turns on again automatically for 5 hours. It continues to go through this cycle until it turns off. How cool is that? VERY! This candle has 5 stars in my book and I will be buying more in the near future.
