I bought these corn cobs to use in my basement to replace the dim, dim lighting that was previously there. Watch enough scary movies and no one wants to go down into a dark and dirty basement! What I like most about them compared to the CFL bulbs they replaced is that they turn on instantly. Of course, this means they reach their maximum brightness the moment you turn them on, rather than waiting a minute or two for the CFL to heat up. The color temperature is also optimal. Too much bluish tint with LED lighting always bothers me, but that's not a problem with them. The only thing that can make these onions even better is when they're covered in frost. These bulbs are so bright that they cast shadows easily. Of course these are small things, as the product corresponds to the description, but there is always room for improvement.
