Not silent, but noticeably quieter than green switches and still pleasant to use.

I used the regular Black Widow Chroma for many years before switching to this one. I mainly use it for gaming, so I like the feedback and feel of a mechanical keyboard, but I wanted something quieter. While it's definitely not silent, it's significantly quieter than green switches. I immediately felt the orange switches without any problems, as I find them to be very pleasant to the touch. They still give satisfying feedback on each key press, despite appearing different, so it was easy to switch to this one without feeling like something was lost between them. If you're looking for something really quiet, this isn't it, but there's an obvious difference with green switches. knew this when buying. The power cord is very long enough; My tower is a few feet from my desk and I have a spare cable. The RGB lighting is superb and each key can be individually programmed to any color imaginable. Razer Synapse lets you save multiple profiles that you can easily switch between, and the level of customization you get is almost mind-boggling because there's so much you can do. You can set it to keep your desired color(s), choose from a variety of light patterns, and change the brightness. I think Synapse is pretty user friendly and I could easily figure out how to do what I wanted with it just by playing around with it a bit. I tried. It's magnetic, snaps in place and holds securely, but I really didn't enjoy using it. It has good padding, but I felt my wrist was raised too high to feel natural during use. Luckily it's not built in so I just removed it and just don't use it. After a few weeks of using it I am very happy with it. It's in perfect condition, I haven't had any issues with sticky buttons or anything like that. I had a previous Razer keyboard for many years and it still works. I only switched because I wanted something smaller and quieter, and I haven't seen anything yet that makes me doubt the durability of this model.
