The jewelry box/mirror is very sturdy and seems to be built to last, so I chose to install permanently. I recessed it into the wall about 2”, just deep enough to still access the lock. Install went smoothly and I really like how it looks! I wish the LEDs were brighter and that you could change the warmth/color of them, like some other models have. But all in all, I’m a fan! I wanted to hard wire it in, but instead I just added an outlet because it needs the AC power adapter.
