Quality change over the years

I have bought two of these straps over the years, one about 6 years ago and the other this year. Something has changed in the production of this belt between these two purchases. There were no particular problems with the first product, the belt went through the buckle well and didn't rub too much on the sides. It took a bit of effort to flip the buckle over to use the other side of the strap, but that's the way it should be. The new belt has a hard time slipping through the buckle but will get better over time as it wears out. The back of the buckle is a different color than the previous version, which makes me think it's different. The most noticeable part is how much easier it is to click the buckle. Unfortunately, this means that when wearing this belt with the correct adjustment, the buckle will stretch slightly and make a rattling noise as you walk. In fact, each step creates a little rattle, like change and keys getting mixed up in your pocket. I don't think this is due to a defective strap I may have received, it seems to be a design issue. It's still a nice belt and suitable for use in certain locations, but may not be ideal for a quiet office. 2 MONTHS UPDATE: The belt looks the same but it actually rattles more. I would stay away from the belt. Although it looks good, it is a poor quality belt.
