I bought this thermometer since my daughter was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. I have noticed that the temperatures taken are a little below what I think is normal but then I compared to an oral thermometer and it was within 3 tenths of a degree so it is fairly accurate in my estimation. I also noticed that the consistency is good since it seems to measure pretty much the same temp every time as long as you follow the instructions and keep it with 1 to 2 inches from the forehead. also noticed that the instructions tell you that sometimes the forehead may be exposed to cold or heat but the back of the earlobe may be better to take the temp. I have not heard that before but it makes sense and seems to work. This thermometer is very easy to use and very easy to read.
