These are thick and heavy metal hooks! I went with a satin nickel to match all the door handles and shower controls. I put one next to the shower to hang towels/robes/or anything else so you can easily grab what you need when you get out of the shower. I put 6 in the hallway by the front door to hang coats, backpacks, umbrellas and whatever when you walk in. 1 hook can easily hold my heavy leather biker jacket and backpack. You must install them in solid wood or they will not be fixed. Sometimes the 2 inner prongs of the wall bracket will not fit the hook bracket snugly so you will need to tap each prong with a hammer until the hook is very tight and won't budge. It can be difficult to get a few in a row to look even, but I really like them. The only downside is that they are quite expensive for hooks.
