I just bought a new portable DVD player that is excellent in every way except one. The volume was too low for me. I have excellent hearing (for example I always ask people to stop yelling at me. You know I live in a nursing home because I have physical problems other than my hearing) and even at maximum volume I can barely hear what's going on goes. Since my DVD player has a USB socket (for power) and a 3.5mm headphone socket (for sound) I decided to give it a try and sure enough. works just GREAT! Now I have even more volume that I need! These speakers are mounted at the top of the screen and are aimed at the "watchers" which works great. So. If you are in the same situation, this might be a good solution. 👍
