First thing, I run a very small restaurant winery and purchasing a "new" stainless steel table was something I had put on hold after covid hit early 2020. I opted to buy the table this year with a budget of $400.00. I purchased the 30" x 84" stainless steel table for the low 300s, which I thought was a good deal considering the cost for stainless steel these days. The table arrives in a flimsy cardboard box with several plastic straps. When I opened it up, the packaging on the inside consisted of an inadequate amount of bubble wrap considering the empty space and cheap metal corner protectors. The table top and shelf come coated with a white plastic that can be peeled off simple enough. I counted a total of seven dents, three significantly noticeable. The tabletop comes with a stainless flap across the bottom of it that is screwed to the table. One of those bolts were broken off. Two of the six legs came with two stripped screw holes that hold the self up. So one screw is holding up each of the two legs attached to the shelf, meaning that it is a lot weaker than the rest of the ones with two screws. The next problem is the legs come with adjustable plastic pegs at the end of them that raise and lower the height slightly to ensure the legs are all grounded equally. One of those pegs was missing, so I have it held up with a piece of wood until I contact the company for it. Worst of all is the top of the table bends and then pops back when I push it lightly with my hand from below. So say I put a heavy bowl or pot of liquid in the center and it's bowed, there's a chance it will eventually pop back up on its own and knock the bowl off the table or cause it to splash. I've seen this happen with a cheap stainless table I bought a few years ago from Sam's Club. If I had to guess, this company gets tables returned regularly and then ships them back out until a buyer just sucks it up and doesn't return it as I've decided to do. It's too much of a pain to locate a box the size I'd need to return it since the one it was sent it is too flimsy to use again. And I don't have the time to pack it. But.I won't be shopping on Walmart anymore. I'm done. The fact they allow a company to send a product out with so much wrong with it tells me this isn't the first time this has happened. So I'm done. I just purchased a new 14 gauge table from an online competitor and having dealt with this company before they sell quality products and don't cheap out on packaging. Yes, the price is higher, but I get what I want. And that's not asking much.
