Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. It has a very solid feel, just like it came attached to the camera. Follow the directions carefully to get the perfect fit. You get a second double back strip to reapply when / if the initial one wears out. Each application is guaranteed for a year, but I see it lasting much longer, if not nearly indefinitely, depending on how often you snap the handle down to better enable your grip for selfies.
