No wonder this camera only comes with a 90 day guarantee! If it takes that long, it's a miracle. Just a few weeks after our 3 months was up, the camera stopped working. It won't turn on! It doesn't charge! Basically it's dead in the box. Panasonic will happily repair the camera for $90. That's right - after it dies in less than 6 months they will happily charge you an additional $90 to FIX something that was probably wrong when it was made! When I contacted customer service, they suggested the following: you pay to have the camera repaired, send us the repair receipt and proof of purchase and we will look at the repair cost and possibly refund part or all of the cost. I bought this camera. my daughter for use in youth ministry in our church. She is very careful - the camera has never been abused, dropped or mishandled. Charged only with chargers from the kit. Panasonic informed me over the phone that this was a KNOWN PROBLEM and that we had done nothing to fix it. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA! Actually, I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Panasonic.
