I had it on the same car for several years, took it off and noticed the teeth kept cutting into the car's visor, on both sides. This is an old car. I moved it to a new machine. It also crashed into the visor, leaving deep marks on the visor a week later. So I removed it looking for a solution that didn't damage my car's windshield. In terms of performance, it was so-so and slightly scratched. Not a very sharp picture. >>> I wanted to send it back because of distortion and ineffective sun and glare protection. I then found that I had installed the visor incorrectly - I attached the clips to the front edge of the visor next to the windshield (when the visor was retracted rather than deployed) and not to the rear edge of the visor. (It wasn't apparent from the pictures as the woman's visor in the picture was actually pulled out when it didn't look like it, maybe just my fault.) After I made the replacement it worked better - I stretched it out and pressed against the roof. when not in use and lowering or lowering and lowering (inserting) the visor when in use - the locking is better and with less distortion. It distorts the image and isn't as effective against very strong sun glare - in fact, relying solely on it is a little dangerous - because it can blind you. .I was a bit concerned as I use the visor to mount my radar detector. I figured I should move the detector to the passenger side and use the hidden detector display instead. But once I switched to the back of the visor, I could still attach my detector to the front of the visor, so it worked. my visor over time and the vinyl tore. As one reviewer said, the item seems to break easily so care must be taken when turning it over. Let's see how it works in real time - driving in strong sunlight. Overall, I'm glad I found out that sun glare is an issue.
