My dogs love Nutrience products including this one. The bag is closed again. It opens easily and closes securely. The pellets are odorless and the size fits both my German Shepherd and Chinese Crested. My guess is that food is sourced and produced in the United States and Canada. It contains some healthy ingredients like blueberries, carrots, and cranberries, along with nutritional supplements like glucosamine, chondroitin, and salmon oil. My biggest reservation about this food is that chicken meal is the first ingredient. While I understand that chicken meal is considered a condensed form that contains more protein than real chicken, I have a hard time believing that any food is better than the raw material. To my knowledge, there are no products that are approved for human consumption. That being said, this one is probably better because it actually identifies the source, i.e. chicken, as opposed to regular meat meal or chicken by-product. Dogs enjoy it and I haven't observed any negative side effects.
