Review on 🚿 Moen Engage Magnetix 26112SRN: 5.5-Inch Handheld Showerhead with Magnetic Docking System, Spot Resist Brushed Nickel by Danny Kamerer

UPDATE: A month after purchase, the toggle switch stopped working and the shower head only alternated between the hardest jet setting and a sad jet. My Revain 30 day return period has expired so I called Moen Customer Service to report the issue. The customer service representative was very friendly and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the product is covered by a lifetime warranty and that they will send me a replacement which will be delivered within the next 2 weeks or so. 2nd UPDATE (8/21/19): The replacement shower head arrived a few months ago as promised. Since then the shower head has been working great! :) There are no complaints here. Excellent customer service and highly recommended. ---First, this shower head has 2 MAJOR advantages that I considered when looking for a manual shower head to replace my non-manual one: the magnetic attachment feature and the button to toggle between modes. My shower pipe is already quite high so a regular hand held shower head that would have to be lifted and taken out would add unnecessary bulk to the shower (mine is 5ft 8" but I guess that wouldn't be a problem if you were 6ft tall), so I thought the magnetic mount was a nice touch. I've had the shower head for a couple of weeks now and both aspects still live up to my expectations! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the hose is a bit short and doesn't reach the bottom of my tub. I bought the hand shower mainly to make bathing my dog easier and the hose is not. not long enough for me to flush the lower abdomen but if that is not important to you (ie not having to wash your dog) then certainly consider this item 5 stars. No tape is included, but you don't need it either. to install. Other reviewers have even said that the connections leak when using plumber's tape. All you have to do is insert the included ts rubber spacer between the threaded connections and that's it. There are no leaks. Water pressure wise, my house initially had fantastic water pressure so it wasn't an issue. However, the shower head I replaced it with had a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM) and I liked it so I wanted to keep the performance the same. Without the flow restrictor removed, this showerhead outputs 2.0 GPM, but removing the flow restrictor is easy as other reviews have noted, and with the restrictor removed, it produces 2.5 GPM. Before you install all of this, simply take your tweezers and pull out the metal fastener inside the shower head and take out the plastic flow restrictor with the green cross hairs hidden behind the metal fastener. Leave the metal bracket and plastic flow restrictor and proceed with the installation. I also liked the size of the shower head itself. It's larger than other standard products on the market and I find it much more attractive. This is approximately the size of your hand (picture included for reference). I wanted a nice hotel feel shower head and I got exactly what I was looking for. :) You will not be disappointed.
