Pretty curmudgeon!
The product works very well. I'm tired of replacing my other plastic soap scraper. I didn't want to keep filling up the landfill, so I really liked the idea of getting a sustainable product. The bristles are pleasant to the touch and a small plate in which to put them takes up very little space. The only downside I noticed is that the wood starts to splinter after about 2 months. Since it's used in warm soapy water all the time, I'm sure it dries quickly. In fact, you may need to oil the wood like you would a cutting board or block. But if I have to replace it, I don't mind because it's a natural material. I will continue to buy it.
