Fits Tapestry Needle #26

The most important thing to know about a needle threader is the size needle it will work with and I have found this information to be sadly lacking in descriptions and reviews. I bought it anyway, so here's the info for you! The narrow end fits easily into a #24 tapestry needle, the most commonly used needle for use with 14 Aida and similar sizes of cross stitch and embroidery needles. I use a size 26 needle for smaller fabrics and this is the one I really wanted to fit - and it does! It's tight, but it works. I don't know if the exact size of the eye of the needle varies by brand, but I think you'll have a hard time fitting it to anything smaller than a #26. In fact, the width of the eye seems to be the most restrictive, as opposed to the Length. I like the hook design because with other needle threaders you still have to thread something even if the hole is bigger than the eyelet.
