After assembling the base and getting ready to attach it to the table, I found that the base was not properly aligned with the corners of the table. I measured the base diagonally on both sides and found it was 1/2" from the square. I disassembled and reassembled it several times with the same result (definition of insanity, right?). I went ahead and fixed it.I think once it's in place it might not be noticeable but it definitely is.3 stars because the table itself is good but not happy with the base.
