I take it *everywhere* so the backpack doesn't feel like it doesn't fit. Maybe I'm just fixated on not getting caught without needing or wanting anything. But if I'm going to be out for more than an hour, I like to take with me: tablet, phone, kindle, umbrella, sweater and a large bottle of water next to my wallet, glasses, keys, tissues, powder compact and lipstick. . EVERYTHING fits easily in this backpack. I keep my iPad mini and Kindle Paperwhite in the large, padded compartment on the back, my folded wallet in the RFID pocket, and my glasses in the second pocket when I'm not wearing them. I rarely turn on my cell phone because I use it all the time. But when I need both hands, I tuck the phone into a large padded slot along with other electronics. The main compartment holds an umbrella, water bottle, keys, aspirin and sweater. Note that the umbrella is tiny, and the sweater is thin and light, not bulky. But still. Then I zip everything in there. In the less secure outer zippered side pocket I keep: lipstick, liner, powder, lotion, tissue paper, sanding board, cuticle scissors and an ink pen. Stuff some cash in the outside zippered pocket if I don't think I'll ever need a wallet or electronics. Being close to my back I think it would be difficult to get something out of this compartment without noticing me and it saves me from opening the main compartment too often. two days in a large shoulder bag. My shoulders and back hurt so much that I knew I needed a more even pack distribution. That got me on the hunt. Otherwise I would have been tempted by one of the prettier bags from the same company. When I first put on this backpack full of stuff, I knew I made the right decision. I've never liked the idea of a backpack. Firstly, I felt they looked a bit sloppy, and secondly, I felt it was too easy for someone to pull off without my knowledge since it was behind me. But it has an extra zipper and it looks neat and tidy. I also like that the inside isn't black because it's a lot easier to see what's inside. i love this bag The only minor complaint I have is that the straps don't stay where you put them. The buckles slide up and down too easily. However, I would recommend this bag to anyone who will be traveling around their hometown for at least a few hours, but certainly to those who play tourist. You have everything you need just in case.
