Review on ๐Ÿšง Farmhouse Collection - Expandable Walk-Thru Room Divider Baby Gate by Lorri Ciccio

Ideal for the bottom of the stairs and awkward spots.

I think most of you understand this but don't use it for the top part of the stairs. It's not powerful enough for this application. I probably wouldn't use it for large dogs that don't want to be held either. It's more of a deterrent than anything else. I use it for the base of the stairs and span it diagonally across the hallway to block the base of the other staircase. I paid extra to get it in this nicer color. Stupid decision but I like the way it looks. It does a great job of restraining my 1 year old and 40 lb dog (although to be fair my dog could be restrained with a piece of cardboard - she's not the type to try very hard to escape). It is very easy to install. . Just screw in some screw eyelets and insert the hooks. The "latch" is ridiculously weak and honestly doesn't hold the screws that well. However, it's "good enough" that they don't improve on the design I guess. I can bend bars and hooks with two fingers. They are that thin. My fingers are tiny - you'll probably pinch your fingers a few times trying to squeeze them - should probably be used with some control - sometimes it doesn't extend or close smoothly - you'll have to put them in a bobby pin or so screw in a piece of wood attached to the hairpin. I wouldn't worry about the baby pinching his fingers. Once installed and stretched across the room, it won't pinch your hands. The only way out would be if they unlocked and locked it.
