Strong but less durable than transparent. If you want really strong duct tape, you'll need to use more of that duct tape or something else. However, I had no trouble breaking it. I use it when shipping a box that needs a closed label part. You can see through that a little bit. It will detach from the reel if you use the red tabs to hold it in place. I will buy it again when it runs out.
