Let me address any previous concerns I've read - I've been wearing them for a few weeks now and they don't irritate my ears at all. My ears are very sensitive to metals and some plastics. So, in my personal experience, they are comfortable for people with sensitive ears. This is real wood, polished smooth and very light. The posts themselves are acrylic and slightly flexible. I see some people claim they are sharp, but they are so sharp they can pierce skin. I will tell the seller that it would be much better if the edges of the posts were filed/rounded to get a smooth edge. Yes, these types of earrings take a little getting used to when putting them on. But that is absolutely no reason to leave a negative review! This is on your end and your problem, not the sellers. This style is unique and requires more patience than a regular earring, which is quick and easy to put in place. With practice, it will become easier and quicker, like everything else you learn after practice. (I get annoyed when people leave negative reviews about a seller when it's not the seller's fault) Once they pop up you forget they're there because they're so light. They are comfortable and will not fall out as long as you insert the pins firmly but not too firmly or they will be difficult to remove. I am very happy with these earrings. This style is personally my favorite style of earrings. I have several pairs of this style and they have found a place in my collection. I wear them often and no complaints other than that the pillars should be hemmed/rounded for a smooth edge. I received them almost 2 weeks after ordering in the mail and in a gift box. I have received many compliments on her. So thanks to the seller. And to the buyer - this is my experience with it. I am very passionate about jewelry because jewelry design and making is my own business and my livelihood and I would recommend it. If you agree that this style takes some practice and you like his style, then go for it :-) I love my mate. You will love yours. **Edit Update** A friend of mine also ordered these and the pair she received are clearly plastic and not wood. I was surprised. I took a much closer look at my pair and shaved off a tiny part, and mine are plastic too. They have been polished and glazed. I was wrong thinking this is a polished tree. Since I claimed it was a tree, I wanted to correct my review.
