I've been wet shaving for 18 years, and I grew my first mustache when I was 12. This soap was one of the first 3 soaps I ever used and have never stopped using it. Mitchell's has set new standards with the development of this shaving soap. Lathers like an animal, lasts months if you use a daily shaver, lasts longer if you switch soaps, the aftershave benefits for your skin are top notch, the smoothness of the lather is almost unbeatable and for the price you can't go wrong . I would buy this soap even if the price went up $30 a pack just knowing I'm getting my money's worth. If you are a wet razor newbie then feel free to buy it, if you are a veteran you should already be using this one. Soft water area. Just pointing this out, but foaming isn't impossible, you might just need to let it bloom (sit with hot water) for a few minutes before loading the brush, and in hard water I've learned that it takes more water to get that foam fully to let something explode.
