This product is a virtual replica of my original laptop screen! There are no dead pixels or other issues. The screen arrived in perfect condition, sealed and protected. I just plugged in and it worked! The only small "flaw" I noticed is that the screen itself tilts slightly to the right. It's barely noticeable and can probably be fixed by adjusting the metal mounts on the laptop itself. Overall I'm still very satisfied! If you are afraid of doing it yourself: I strongly recommend replacing such a screen yourself! Despite what others may say, it takes 10-15 minutes max from start to finish. You can save $100 or more by not paying anyone to install it! You don't need to know anything technical; Just grab a Phillips screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver or a small razor blade. You can watch a video of this process here: [.] Simply put: 1) Peel off the small rubber or plastic covers on the edge of the screen. 2) Unscrew the screws under these covers. 3) Carefully separate the panel in front of the screen from the back cover of the laptop. 4) Remove the screws that secure the shield. 5) Remove the broken strainer and disconnect the cable connected to the strainer. 6) Connect the new screen to this cable. Do the opposite of Step 4 to 1 and you're done! Hope that helps! (My laptop is Gateway NV57)
