I've bought so many different cooling pads (none of them lasted that long btw but we'll see with this one). I think this one is a bit stronger. The LCD that shows speed is interesting, but since the right and left buttons don't really change anything and only seem to show the speed of the fan on each side, this seems like a novelty rather than a real feature. This display can be turned off if you distract yourself by pressing the center button. There is no on/off switch, so all you have to do is unplug the USB connector at one end. I don't think it's some sort of deal breaker, just an interesting omission. The device is lightweight but looks sturdy. (I'll see if it lasts longer than other types of cooling pads that either just die or short out the USB connectors. I really think any that don't last more than six months should be shown. I'll be interested other buyer).
