FINVIE RV's built-in water filter works well when connected to our RV's fresh water inlet. The activated carbon filter keeps the water clean and odor-free. We have a water filtration system here at our Florida RV park, and the FINVIE filter adds another layer of protection. It is NSF 42 certified "to reduce aesthetic contaminants such as chlorine and taste/odor". The unit of measurement is 1.79 pounds. The filter is 10.5 inches long and 8 inches in circumference. The reinforced garden hose connector is 5.25 inches long. Flexible hose connector reinforced with wire. This allows the hose to hang on our side water inlet. The filter hangs under the retractable part and our hose connects to it. We keep the filter working properly by limiting water pressure to 60psi. We will replace the filter after 30 days and ship a new filter. The FINVIE filter reduces chlorine, lead and scale that may be present in small amounts in the van's water system. This is the first water filter we have added to our motorhome's fresh water system. In the past, we've used a standalone water purifier for drinking, cooking, and coffee. From now on we will stick with the new FINVIE filter. Great product from FINVIE
