Review on πŸ“Ί Universal Swivel TV Stand - Adjustable Pedestal Mount for 27-55 inch LCD LED Plasma Flat Screens by Elizabeth Morton

Looks flimsy at first but proves solid

Holds our 55 inch TV as advertised. We chose this stand because it was inexpensive and it elevates the TV above a standard stand. new house, best spot for tv makes wall mounting impossible and it fits the picture. The device is assembled in about 15 minutes, including installation on a TV. Our old wall mounts fit this unit, but we chose to assemble the kit and store our wall mount as a unit. .When we put the TV on the stand, the left corner was obviously shorter than the right. We were able to manually adjust this to straighten it out, but it felt very flimsy. I removed the TV, loosened and tightened the screws, and reinstalled. The TV didn't roll that easily and has remained flush with the marsh surface ever since unless tampered with. Adjusting the height was easy, as was assembly. Although I can lift 55 inches on my own, I needed help setting it up as the unit isn't heavy enough to support the weight from one side and then the other (should come down as a level unit). I ended up using my wife and teenage daughter to move the stand and hold the other side of the TV and it was a breeze. The instructions are clearly written and include pictures to help with assembly. The only time this was really needed was for the "lock" mounts that hold the bottom rail in place. An added benefit of the stand is that it uses typical VESA mounting screws, so you can easily replace them if you lose them. I didn't like that the cable was on the back, the fixing screw is so small that the velcro just slipped through. I solved this problem with a small washer
