I bought these tiles to upgrade my training device "Puzzle Systems" to a "professional" version with more memory. It appears to be the same material used in every other tile system, so it definitely works well with built-in shims. I've used green cookies, Bauer Slivver pucks, and IDS pucks, and they all seem to slide like they're on an ice rink. Ice hockey pucks obviously offer the most resistance. I think these tile systems are a hit because if I start making directly I can get a 12x12 tile for only $2.50 each. Why is that $5 to $6 each? The same goes for Edge/CCM/betterhockey snipers.
