After meticulously gutting a round kitchen ceiling light made up of two large round fluorescent bulbs, a large heavy ballast and all the clips and screws that held it all together, I was ready to shoot the process. with this replacement LED block. The first indication that it wasn't was the flimsy bubble wrap it came in. The block consists of an extremely thin, aluminum-based circular circuit board and a small plastic transformer. After screwing the magnetic "legs" onto the circuit board and the transformer housing, the device is simply placed on the old metal shell with magnets, then connected to the house and that's it. The light is indistinguishable from my previous fluorescent lights, both in color. and brightness. The old device stopped working so it was a necessity. And consumes about 5% of the power of the old lamp. Thumbs up.
