Initially I was very disappointed with this product because I replaced my surface pen with this one and it didn't work. The pen was on, fully charged, and the erase button worked. I ran the troubleshooter, disabled and re-enabled the pen, and even looked at the properties in Device Manager. I updated and restarted my Surface Book in its Safe Mode version and still nothing. I was distraught when I came across a YouTube video that directed me to the Surface Book diagnostic tool. I thought, well, why not? I've tried and downloaded everything. 2 minutes after starting the tool, the Surface Pen worked with the display. So if you're having trouble with your pen, download the diagnostic tool! The tips themselves are almost identical to the original. I mostly draw on my Surface Book and I think they do a great job. At $10 for 3 quills I would definitely say it's a bargain!
