Great keyboard with a hinge that can break

I've had two of these cases. The keyboard works well, no problems with Safari on the iPad. Great on a plane where there is so little room to board. Mandatory accessory. I've used it for writing articles on the side, as well as at home when I don't want to fiddle around with a whole laptop. The keyboard's internal battery lasts for several weeks without recharging. The buttons are backlit and you have the option to choose different colors. It works well. The weak point of the whole system is plastic. There are four small curved rubber bumpers at the corners of the keyboard. They are designed to soften the keyboard on the front of the iPad when you close it. They tend to fall out and if you happen to find one after it has come out you will have to glue it back on. This happened on both of my Zagg keyboards. The second Zagg I ordered in June 2016 (now April 2017) is already broken today. I wasn't strict about it. The part that breaks is the hinge. This is the important part that keeps your iPad in place while you type. The hinges tend to click open, with the plastic splitting in the middle. When that happens, everything will soon fall apart. The keyboard will still work, but the idea of using your iPad as a small laptop is moot. The keyboard was also a bit warped on my last one, not quite flat, but curved in the middle. It still works with no issues but the hinge is a big issue hence only three stars. I'm looking for a higher quality product, maybe aluminum or magnesium like the iPad. Can't reach Apple's quality. Apple now makes their own keyboards, but only for the iPad Pro, to my knowledge.
