Great for a 2 year old to wear. My little girl wanted to wear it immediately and proudly trudged through the house like a "big kid". The next day she took it to kindergarten and the teacher said everyone liked it and every child wanted to wear it too! It fits a water bottle, a small plush teddy bear, a change of clothes. Ideal for kindergarten or a short trip. I'm taking off a star because I want it to be more durable. From what I can remember from my childhood "brick” backpack, it was durable and everything inside didn’t press on the material. I hoped so too. I don't want the backpack to "freeze". So I will continue to search for a strong and healthy backpack.
