The fabric is soft and breathable. I find the bottom stays in place, unlike other products that roll up. I'd say there's abdominal compression but only of a medium extent.After reading the reviews, I had bought a large, which should have been true to size, only to discover that was too big. Medium has better fit for me. I'd try a small for the compression but doubt I'd get my chest in. Lol.Be aware that the bra does not hold your girls if you have heavier breasts. I either have to wear a bra or constantly adjust the top contents.
