The rubber is not the same quality as the Canon original. It can detach from the plastic mount if it rubs against clothing or in a pocket. Disappointed because it shouldn't cost $10 to replace such a basic eyepiece, but I think you get what you pay for. Edit: The plastic bracket fits snugly on the 6D. The plastic and rubber parts appear to be exact copies of the original. Since I still had the original broken eyepiece with the working rubber part, I was able to replace the rubber parts and it works as expected. So if you only need to replace one plastic component, this universal component is a good option.
