I bought this bag so kids don't have to carry heavy school books on their backs. I am very satisfied with the durability of the bag. It holds enough books. It was very easy to use for my 6 year old. A sleeve in the main compartment would have given this bag a 5. I award 4.5 stars. Updated: 2 months of use I've revised the review. 1 bag still works, the other had 2 malfunctions. The handle didn't go all the way up. It stops at the first marker. Now the back plate/lining that keeps the back upright won't hold up. The bag folds back at a 45 degree angle when standing alone. 2 bags, 2 different experiences.
