Review on πŸ–ΌοΈ OOK 50673 Professional Picture Hangers: Brass Art Hangers with Reusable Hooks - 15 Sets of 20lb Capacity Picture Hooks by Brook Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth the extra cost; much less damage to drywall.

Like most people, I've used cheap "silver" picture hangers my whole life and just assumed it was normal when it came time to remove the hanger, there would be a jagged hole to repair in drywall; not a huge hole, but big enough to be visible even after filling up. I ran out of paint to touch up the walls we were going to hang some new photos on and thought I'd try these OOK hangers as they claim you'll just have a small hole in the wall when you remove them. Of course when we placed the hangers one was out of place and had to be moved and when I removed it I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was really only a small hole in the drywall. The difference with OOK hangers is that the "nail" that attaches the hanger to the wall tapers to a thin, pointed end at the end, so there is simply less damage when the nail is driven in. The "nail"'s left open end is grooved and the head is larger than a regular nail, making them easier to grab and remove from the wall than the nails that come with the "regular" picture will. hanger. The result is a small, clean hole in the wall that only requires a small stroke of putty and I don't have to touch up any paint. While I was skeptical of their claims, I believe in OOK hangers. and will use it from now on.
