I really like and agree with these ladders. I now have two of these ladders and they have both worked flawlessly for four years. I bought these to continue protecting my two dogs' joints and to help them climb onto high beds and sofas without having to jump up and down each time. I have to say that my dogs will not always use them. Sometimes when they're in a hurry or someone comes to the door, they jump off tall furniture as if impersonating Superman, but mostly when they're tired or moving slowly, they certainly take advantage of them. If your dog, cat, rabbit, ferret, or any other two-legged or four-legged friend won't use it the first time, don't give up. Over time, they will learn their value and start using them. If they're initially scared, cheer them up by placing yummy treats on the steps and exit the room so they can explore in peace. I give 5 stars just for the fact that they do their part to protect my two dogs' joints and are strong as they are.
