This directional bar completely surprised me with its quality and brightness. The entire directional bar housing is made out of machined aluminum and comes with 2 steel mounting brackets. this directional bar it is extremely bright in both night and day operation. The main wire bundle out of the housing to the controller is long enough to be mounted on the rear deck of a crown vic and can be run behind the seat under the carpet and to a center console with ease. The controller is almost cheep looking and the plastic cover on the directional control buttons degraded after 6 months of daily use. I have not checked the wiring schematics for this unit but I'm sure that the control can be replaced and substituted for a sound off directional control head with little modification. This has more flash patterns than you can ever need but only one can be activated at a time using the selector switch. Overall, it was a great buy for the money.
